.... the beginning

Casper Sunday morning and my first post. Just for a flavour of Sunday life at W HQ. The youngest is at the Brewhouse rehearsing for the Christmas Carol which starts in less than a week, eldest at a friends house for sleep over having left the house with a bottle of Rosé, Mrs W out with Pippa visiting Fox, so home alone with Katie and Casper. Finished watching Match of The Day, updated predictamatch and Emeli Sande's Read All About It is playing on radio 2. My task is getting this up and running with various pages for memories and loved ones.

Projects

The Cart Wheels Wanted one but it was a 'buy one, get one free' offer I couldn't refuse. First journey to Axminster, Mrs W came to help and we stopped off at Route 303 restaurant on the way home for a meal. When we arrived the full scale of the wheels become evident and it was obvious that two would not fit into a white van. Went with the intention of cutting through the axle but once there it would have felt like an act of vandalism. Also warmed to the idea off keeping both to be displayed on the axle. After some brut force and newly found cartwright skills we got one off and into the van. Wheels at Lynbrook Second expedition to bring home the second wheel was made easier by assistance from James Westwood and some tools from Jon. Oh yes, and by being told that the remaining wheel nut had a counter clockwise thread. RESTORATION Condition of Wood Sanding, and more sanding That will be 'Cuprinol 5 Star Complete Wood Treatment...

Books, Films, Plays, TV, ......

Hairspray Rating 8: Well, sung, well preformed, good night out. Went more for Solene who loves it and loved it. the five people you meet in heaven Rating 5: Wanted to rate lower but went for a five as I got to the end without abandoning it! Story ok but it started with lesson 1, then lesson 2, but not sure if there where more are what any of them are! Darkest Hour Rating 8: Good film, Gary Oldman brilliant, Lily James Cute and the plot an education and proud to be British. Les Mis Rating 10: Couldn't have been better - Great music, set and performances. The Greatest Showman Musical film with everything:- good music, lyrics, special effect and feel good story line. Rating 9 Very good. More plot, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and more ......
